I’m not going to skirt around it, I have been struggling recently. On the heels of being very busy and productive as I had planned to be in August, I found myself reeling from a major anxiety attack. It kept me up for most of the night, I was tossing and turning, shivering and crying. My mind was racing with all the things I had to do both at work and at home and how I just wanted a break from it all. I was completely unable to focus on what I had going on that week and instead was fixated on my entire future. As if that wasn’t enough to worry about, I kept glancing at the clock and counting down the hours of sleep I would have left until it was time to get up and get ready for work. When I finally woke up the next morning, my sleep cycle app told me my sleep quality was at its all-time lowest…60%. I woke up feeling exhausted, irritable, and entirely depressed. A Peek Inside a New Moon Ceremony

Hey guys! I mentioned in a recent post that I had plans to go to a new moon ceremony and I got a few questions about what that sort of thing is like so I thought I would share my experience. The ceremony was hosted at Sacred Roots in Long Beach, CA. They host new moon ceremonies every month and I had been once before, back in December when I was really going through it with my anxiety. It was a bit of a tough experience solely because of my anxiety, so I was excited to head back and give it another go now that I’ve been in a better mindset. Plus, I was going with my sister and doing anything wellness-related (or pretty much anything at all) with her absolutely makes my day. We both had relatively stressful days so the magical night that followed was exactly what the holistic doctor ordered.

Morning Rituals – 4 Things I Cannot Start My Day Without

My mornings are the most important part of my day. They really set the tone for how the rest of my day will go, so it’s important that I take the time to wake up and prep my body and mind for the day ahead. When I started working full-time, I would spend every possible minute in bed until I absolutely had to get up and get ready. I would scroll and snooze right up until the point where I was actually going to be late if I didn’t get up. So slowly, slowly, over time I added a few things into my morning that would get me in the right headspace to have a happy, productive day. I’m hoping that by sharing my morning rituals, I can encourage and remind you to spend an extra few minutes focusing on yourself in the morning.
