#ThursdayThoughts / why we need to break the stigma around antidepressants

I was mildly nervous to admit to people that I had started taking an antidepressant. I realize I have formed an image of being as consciously organic as possible/reasonable, preaching the benefits of meditation, journaling, and CBD as natural anxiety relievers. I wanted to prove to others but mostly myself that I could handle this on my own, through sheer willpower and determination. I will just meditate the anxiety attacks away. It’s fine, it’s fine, it’s fine.

Hawaii Recap – My Trip To Maui and the Big Island

You guys, I had the most blissful ten day vacation last month and I am still on a high writing this. My family and I spent six days on Maui, after which my sister and I spent four days on the Big Island with my boyfriend and his family. I haven’t been to Maui since I was younger, so that was almost like an entirely new experience. Since my boyfriend is from the Big Island, I’ve been a few times and consider it a second home at this point. It was the most perfect vacation, just writing this recap has brought me back to the clearest of beaches and happiest state of mind.

Plan With Me – October: Astrology Forecast, Tarotscope, and Goals & Intentions

September was the month I finally started to get my shit together. After a tough few months dealing with constant anxiety, I was prescribed an antidepressant. This is my first time taking medication like this and, while it’s quite nerve-wracking, I’m feeling more hopeful about the future. My Medication Journey / Week 1-2

Hello readers. If this is your first time on my blog, welcome. I’m a wellness and lifestyle writer who aspires to lead as organic a life as possible. I’ve also got horrible anxiety and depression and have recently started taking medication for it for the first time ever. I’m aware this is quite the oxymoron, but I’ve always been super honest and vulnerable in my posts and that won’t stop now. Antidepressants are super common but rarely talked about, which is partly why I’ve always been scared of them, so I’m going to detail my journey with them with extreme transparency in hopes of breaking down that stigma. I can be a wellness advocate and still take medication. So, if you’ve ever been curious or are considering medication for yourself, keep on reading!

#ThursdayThoughts: A Discourse on Consumerism

Shopping is fun, it’s so much fun. One of my favorite pastimes is to go to the mall on the weekends and window shop. I’m too impatient to try things on, so I’ll look at everything in person and mull on it for a few weeks and, if the want is still there, purchase it online. That way I can look forward to the package arriving, my very own mini Christmas that takes place every few weeks. My bank account is my own, so no one can see the charges I’m putting on it, and I usually get home before my boyfriend does so I have time to unpack my gifts and throw out the evidence. It’s all a fun game to me, or it was.
