2019 In Books

At the end of last year, one of the goals I had set for myself for 2019 was to read 24 books, or two books in every month. Well I can happily say I far surpassed that goal…by 16 books! I rediscovered my love for reading new books, as I’ve been known to reread the Harry Potter series every year (I guess you could say I’m a fan). I discovered new favorites and talented authors and had fun exploring new genres as well as old classics. 2019 was definitely the year of reading for me, and I thought a post recapping each book I read this year would be a great way to pay homage to these amazing writers and their works of literary art.

Plan With Me – November: Astrology Forecast, Tarotscope, and Goals & Intentions

Ugh, October went by way too fast. I watched a whopping 19 scary movies, so I can’t say I didn’t take advantage of the spooky vibes! I would have to say my favorite new ones that I watched would have to be The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Midsommar. I just love getting scared, so I also went to Los Angeles’ Haunted Hayride with Austin and some friends, which was so much fun! I can watch all the scary movies and not be affected at all, but put me in a dark haunted maze and I’ll scream at any sign of movement. I completed the month by hanging out in a graveyard and watching The Sixth Sense, my forever scariest movie that traumatized me when I was younger, whilst surrounded by dead people. You can’t get more Halloween than that.

I was mildly nervous to admit to people that I had started taking an antidepressant. I realize I have formed an image of being as consciously organic as possible/reasonable, preaching the benefits of meditation, journaling, and CBD as natural anxiety relievers. I wanted to prove to others but mostly myself that I could handle this on my own, through sheer willpower and determination. I will just meditate the anxiety attacks away.
